Nuée Ardente is french for Pyroclastic Flow (glowing cloud). A fast-moving current of hot gas and rock, moving away from a volcano. This fine piece of art is from my GeoHorizon series. A series of original acrylic abstract paintings inspired by soil horizons. An icy color palette of white and pale mint warmed up with red and beige was used to create this soothing minimal painting.I gave the artwork two coats of satin varnish to protect it from UV rays and dust. It is hand signed by me, the artist, on the front. And my signature, date, and title are written on the back of the painting.
